The New England Patriots have now released their Wednesday injury report ahead of their Sunday home AFC Championship game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and it includes seven players.
Limited on Wednesday for the Patriots were wide receiver Danny Amendola (ankle), tight end Martellus Bennett (knee), running back Brandon Bolden (knee), linebacker Dont’a Hightower (shoulder), wide receiver Chris Hogan (thigh), wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (knee), and defensive lineman Jabaal Sheard (knee).
While the Patriots injury report is always tough to decipher, it’s worth noting that Bennett, Sheard, Hogan, Hightower and Bolden weren’t listed last week ahead of the playoff game against the Houston Texans. As for Mitchell, he was inactive last weekend for the Patriots.
Bennett, who suffered his injury against the Texans, has since said he expects to play against the Steelers.
