If you know anything about the history of the New England Patriots, you know that their daily injury reports are pretty much worthless. With that said, the Patriots Thursday injury report is identical to the one they released on Wednesday that included seven players listed as practicing on a limited basis.
Limited once again on Thursday for the Patriots were wide receiver Danny Amendola (ankle), tight end Martellus Bennett (knee), running back Brandon Bolden (knee), linebacker Dont’a Hightower (shoulder), wide receiver Chris Hogan (thigh), wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (knee), and defensive lineman Jabaal Sheard (knee).
At this rate, it won’t be surprising to see all seven players wind up being listed as questionable by head coach Bill Belichick on the Patriots Friday injury report.
As far as I can speculate, Mitchell might be the only one of the seven players who might ultimately sit out Sunday’s AFC Championship game against the Pittsburgh Steelers as he was inactive last Saturday due to his knee injury.
