The Pittsburgh Steelers have now wrapped up their final practice ahead of Thursday night’s road game against the Indianapolis Colts and their final injury report that was released on Wednesday includes no surprises.
Ruled out on Wednesday by the Steelers for the game against the Colts are wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey (foot), running back DeAngelo Williams (knee), safety Shamarko Thomas (groin), and tight end Xavier Grimble (quadricep).
With the Steelers set to have a mini-bye following their game against the Colts, it will be interesting to see if a few key players can make it back for the team’s Week 13 home game against the New York Giants. Heyward-Bey has been out since injuring his foot against the Baltimore Ravens while Williams has missed the last two games after having a surgical procedure performed on one of his knees.
As for Grimble and Thomas, this will mark the second consecutive game both have missed due to injuries.
Rounding it the Steelers Wednesday injury report, safety Jordan Dangerfield (groin) is listed as questionable for Thursday night. He practiced fully on Wednesday so that’s a good sign. Dangerfield has missed the Steelers last two games.
Wide receiver Sammie Coates (finger) was removed from the Steelers injury report on Wednesday after practicing fully again.
