It’s raining and pouring for Pittsburgh today. Linebacker Vince Williams has left the game with a leg injury. He suffered it late in the third quarter running down a punt.
The Steelers are calling it a cramping issue.
Williams has also been starting at inside linebacker opposite Lawrence Timmons today. He’s been replaced by 7th round rookie Tyler Matakevich. Matakevich has played just one defensive snap this year, a goal line rep against the Eagles several weeks ago.
Williams had again been leading the team with six tackles. Four of those were solo.
We’ll update you when the team does on his status for the rest of the game. For now, his return is questionable.
