The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their inactive list for Sunday’s Week 7 home game against the New England Patriots and as expected, the seven players ruled out on the Friday injury report are included on it.
Inactive for the Steelers Sunday at Heinz Field are quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (knee), defensive end Cameron Heyward (hamstring), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle), wide receiver Markus Wheaton (shoulder), safety Shamarko Thomas (groin), center/guard Cody Wallace (knee), and running back DeAngelo Williams (knee).
Linebacker Ryan Shazier, who has missed the Steelers last three games with a knee injury, is active Sunday and is expected to start.
With Heyward missing his second-straight game, rookie Javon Hargrave and veteran Ricardo Mathews are one again expected to absorb his snaps at right defensive end.
With Gilbert out again this week, Chris Hubbard will make his third straight start at right tackle.
Wide receiver Cobi Hamilton is also active on Sunday with Wheaton still sidelined. Also, running back Fitzgerald Toussaint will back-up starter Le’Veon Bell against the Patriots with Williams out this week.
