Season 7, Episode 14 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Tuesday show, David Todd and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers 38-16 Monday night win over the Washington Redskins to start their 2016 regular season.
As you can imagine, we have quite a bit to talk about in this show and start by discussing the knee injury suffered by Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier during the game and what his initial prognosis is.
The Steelers dodged a few bullets early on against the Redskins and we discuss those situations before moving on to thoroughly break down the play of the defense in addition to who we both thought played well on that side of the football. We discuss the lack of pressure in the game in addition to the poor tackling that took place and especially in the first half.
After wrapping up our thoughts on the Steelers defense, David and I move over to the offensive side of the football and that includes us talking about the decision to throw deep on 4th and 1 that ultimately ended with wide receiver Antonio Brown scoring a touchdown.
We discuss the play of the Steelers young wide receivers Monday night in addition to strong performance turned in by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Running back DeAngelo Williams also receives some kudos from us for his play against the Redskins.
We discuss quite a few snap counts that several Steelers players had Monday night and close out this show by talking about just how good the team’s offense can be this season.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
