Season 7, Episode 17 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Monday show, David Todd and I get right to recapping the Pittsburgh Steelers home win Sunday over the Cincinnati Bengals.
David and I have quite a bit to talk about during this recap and as usual, we discuss the play of the Steelers on both sides of the football against the Bengals in addition to pointing out several individual performances in the game both good and bad.
We talk about how Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a rough day against the Bengals and especially when it came to his deep passing. While running back DeAngelo Williams only averaged 2.9 yards per carry Sunday against the Bengals, it was an impressing showing in our eyes.
We discuss how much dime personnel the Steelers defense played against the Bengals in addition to how little they seemed to blitz throughout the game. Will defensive coordinator Keith Butler continue to use this same approach in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles and their rookie quarterback Carson Wentz? We discuss it.
There were several questionable calls by the officiating crew on Sunday so David and I make sure to discuss a few of them.
We close up this episode by discussing a few snap counts in addition to talking about a few comments made Saturday about Steelers injured tight end Ladarius Green by his former position coach.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
