The Pittsburgh Steelers have suffered several injuries during their Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles and you can now add veteran linebacker Lawrence Timmons to the list.
Timmons has reportedly been taken to a local hospital for further evaluation on his shin that he injured during the second quarter. He will not return to the game today.
During the first half, linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee), safety Robert Golden (hamstring), linebacker Jarvis Jones (ankle) and guard Ramon Foster (chest) were all injured.
At one point during the second half L.J. Fort and Vince Williams were the team’s inside linebackers as Shazier has been on and off the field due to his knee injury.
Foster, who entered the game with an elbow injury, was replaced at left guard by B.J. Finney.
The Steelers trail the Eagles 13-3 at halftime and head coach Mike Tomlin is expected to update all of the team’s injuries at the conclusion of the game.
