Season 7, Episode 6 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Monday show, David Todd and I start things off by talking about Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell having his four-game suspension shortened by one game a few days ago. We also talk about Bell’s video response that was soon deleted and whether or not we think the team will have any issues with him moving forward.
Steelers tight end Ladarius Green met with the media on Saturday to discuss his current health and whether or not he’s currently battling any post-concussion problems. As part of that discussion we discuss the Madden Rule and I ask David to think about asking head coach Mike Tomlin about it during his Wednesday press conference.
The Steelers were forced to sign a new quarterback this past weekend due to Bruce Gradkowski and Dustin Vaughan now both currently dealing with injuries so we discuss Bryn Renner as well as the options the team will ultimately have when it comes to deciding who their No. 3 quarterback will be in 2016.
Several roster battles are still going on with two preseason games remaining so David and I recap several of them in this episode. We also revisit the chances rookie linebacker Tyler Matakevich has at making the final 53-man roster following his impressive fourth quarter showing Friday night in the preseason loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
