Ramon Foster Comments On Le’Veon Bell, Munchak, And Camp Sleepers

Ramon Foster is one of the most personable members of the Pittsburgh Steelers with an eye on a broadcasting career once his football days are over. He took to Twitter to do something most players don’t, an hour long Q&A session with fans. He was as forthright as you’d expect and gave a ton of great answers.

Naturally, several people asked for his thoughts on the impending Le’Veon Bell suspension, making him the first Steelers to publicly talk about it since the news broke this morning. Foster made it clear to wait for the facts to come out and still offered his support for him. But he also noted that the Steelers have always been about the sum of their parts, not just one star.

There was plenty of non-Bell talk, too. Foster pointed out a name many have heard buzz about, tight end Xavier Grimble, as a name to watch for in camp.

Foster told one fan that he’s in the best shape of his life and thanked his trainer.

And like basically every other person he’s ever worked for him, he heaped praise on Mike Munchak.

There was one question that would’ve taken a lot more than 140 characters to answer, however – describing his NFL journey.

Foster certainly has succeeded as a once-NFL longshot. A UDFA from Tennessee, who didn’t really have a position at the next level, and had to claw his way onto the roster by showing he could play up and down the line. But once he settled in at guard, he’s become one of the most reliable and dependable players not just along the offensive line but the entire Steelers’ roster.

Check out his Twitter for all the answers he gave. There’s tons more good info there.
