Several of the players in OTAs right now have missed time due to non-injury related issues. Ben Roethlisberger and Landry Jones because of new children, James Harrison because of Father Time.
Bud Dupree has missed the last couple practices due to actual injury and according to Jeremy Fowler, it’s due to a “tissue” injury.
As Fowler notes in the expanded tweet, Dupree – though players are always an unreliable source – believes the injury is minor, and he should be, at worst, ready for training camp.
Anthony Chickillo is the biggest benefactor in all this, getting some valuable reps he wouldn’t normally see during the season. As Matthew Marczi wrote earlier today, he’s transformed his body into one made for an outside linebacker and seems to sincerely be enjoying the position switch.
Along the injury front, we’ll hopefully get word if Senquez Golson has returned to practice. Golson also said he is dealing with a “soft tissue” injury early, making that the early buzzword around Pittsburgh. Hey, it’s better than groins.
