The Pittsburgh Steelers have invited Mississippi State guard Justin Malone to their rookie minicamp, his agency tweeted out today.
Malone weighed in a 6’5, 330 pounds at his Pro Day. A versatile piece, he’s even played a little bit of center for the Bulldogs. In an interview with NFL Draft Blitz, Malone says his pass blocking is his biggest strength due to his length. He is regarded as a smart player and scored in the low 30s on his Wonderlic. He did grow up an Oakland Raiders’ fan, so he’ll have to leave that at the door on his flight up to Pittsburgh.
The Steelers rookie minicamp will kick off this weekend. A full list of tryout players should be released by the team in the coming days.
