The Pittsburgh Steelers have now announced their 2016 preseason schedule and it includes games against the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers.
The Steelers will kick their preseason off with a home game against the Lions. Their second preseason game will also be at home against the Eagles.
The team will close out their preseason schedule with road games against the Saints and Panthers. Dates and times for all four games have yet to be determined and will be released in the near future. The game against the Saints also figures to be the one in which the Steelers starters see the most playing time.
2010 marks the last time that the Steelers played the Lions during the preseason and they won that home game 23-7. They last played the Eagles during the preseason in 2014 and lost that game 31-21. The last time that the Steelers played the Saints during the preseason was in 2007 when the two teams met in the annual Hall of Fame game. The Steelers won that game 20-7.
Dating back to 2003, the Steelers have always concluded their preseason schedule with a game against the Panthers.
