Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agent tackle Kelvin Beachum is certainly racking up the air miles this weekend as other teams around the league entertain him for visits.
Beachum, who reportedly met with New York Jets on Friday, will travel to Florida Sunday for a Monday visit with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN. If that’s not enough, there was also a report on Friday that Beachum was expected to meet with the Seattle Seahawks as well.
While the Steelers are still likely monitoring Beachum’s situation very closely, they are being proactive and that includes them reportedly bringing Seahawks free agent tackle Russell Okung in for a visit on Monday.
Beachum, who was drafted in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of SMU, is still currently rehabbing a left knee injury that he suffered last year during the team’s sixth game of the season. The Steelers reportedly tried to re-sign Beachum to a one-year contract prior to the start of free agency.
