The Pittsburgh Steelers were thought to show interest in Kelvin Beachum if he experienced a cold market, but there are now at least two known teams who have shown interest in him.
The New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks are hosting Beachum for a visits soon, per these tweets sent out by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The Batlimore Ravens were also recently linked to the Steelers’ left tackle.
The Jets have had D’Brickashaw Ferguson man the blindside for years now but he’s coming off one of the worst season’s in his career. The team has a void at right tackle but it’s unknown if the Jets, or Beachum, are interested in playing him there. The difference in left versus right tackle money still exists, even if the requirements of the position have been blurred, making it a critical distinction. In Pittsburgh, Beachum would still be the team’s left tackle.
Beachum is likely to be looking for a one-year contract to rebuild his value after tearing his ACL against the Arizona Cardinals in 2015.
We’ll follow this story throughout the day and see if Beachum signs with either team.
