If you’ve followed the NFL Scouting Combine closely over the course of the last several years, you certainly know by now that Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert is usually one of the first NFL team executives to talk to the media early on Wednesday. Not surprisingly, that won’t change this year in Indianapolis.
According to Steelers PR man Burt Lauten, Colbert will speak on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the combine.
While Colbert won’t talk specifically about players who will take part in this year’s combine during his question and answer session with the media, he will probably talk extensively about the process that goes into evaluating them and that includes answering questions about the amount of underclassmen who decided to declare this year in addition to how the medical reviews and the interview process plays a big role in the week’s events.
Colbert might be asked about several current Steelers players who are set to become free agents in the coming weeks, but generally his answers won’t shed a lot of new information since he his talk with the media just last week.
After Colbert has his time on the podium, there’s a good chance that he will do a quick interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio as that has become the norm over the course of the last several years. As usual, I will be recapping everything that Colbert has to say during both of those talks on the site soon after they take place so please stay locked into the site for that.
