Judging by their Thursday injury report, the Baltimore Ravens will have their top cornerback on the field Sunday when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers at M&T Bank Stadium.
According to the Ravens Thursday report, cornerback Jimmy Smith (thigh) and tackle Ricky Wagner (knee) both practiced fully after sitting out Wednesday’s practice. Smith only played 10 snaps last Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs before leaving the game with a thigh injury.
Wide receiver Marlon Brown (back) and linebacker Albert McClellan (ankle) both sat out again on Thursday so it’s looking like both might miss Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
In somewhat related news, Ravens offensive coordinator Marc Trestman said Thursday that he thinks newly signed quarterback Ryan Mallett has learned enough of the offense and has had enough reps in practice to be ready to play this Sunday if called upon. The Ravens have yet to name their starter for Sunday even though Jimmy Clausen has had some limited success in the team’s last few games.
