Season 6, Episode 49 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I start things off by going over the decision made Sunday by Pittsburgh Steelers to dress quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in order for him to serve as the backup to Landry Jones against the Cleveland Browns.
Roethlisberger wound up playing extremely well off the bench after Jones went down injured and that leads to us to not only talking about his performance but the play of wide receiver Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant.
We move on to discuss the decision made by head coach Mike Tomlin to go for it on fourth down late in the first half instead of taking the easy field goal to go up by 14 points.
We look at the problems the Steelers offense had running the football on Sunday before switching over to talk about the play of the defense on Sunday. We take time to discuss several individual performances on that side of the football and also discuss some snap counts.
As you would expect, we spend a little time at the end of this show discussing Steelers return man Jacoby Jones, who has done nothing in that phase of the game in the last two games.
We close out this show by talking a little about some of the other wild and wacky games that took place around the NFL on Sunday.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
