Veteran kicker Josh Scobee missed two more field goals Thursday night in the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and it appears as though the team is looking for somebody to replace him.
According to CSNMidAtlantic.com, former Washington Redskins kicker Kai Forbath has a tryout scheduled with the Steelers.
Since 2012, Forbath has connected on 87 percent of his field goal attempts. He also worked with Steelers special teams coach Danny Smith when both were with the Redskins.
Forbath was released by the Redskins after the first week of the season.
Forbath is the only kicker reported to have a tryout thus far, although former Steelers kicker Jeff Reed has also reached out to the team in hopes of getting another look.
“I can’t think about that stuff, I just have to let it play out,” Scobee said when asked about his job security.
