The Kansas City Chiefs have now released their Thursday injury report and once again two key players failed to practice for a second consecutive day.
Sitting out the Thursday session were defensive end Mike Devito (concussion), wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (concussion) and linebacker Ramik Wilson (knee, ankle). Should Maclin not be able to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers it would a huge loss as he currently leads the team in receptions.
After sitting out on Wednesday, linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) was limited on Thursday. Additionally, defensive tackle Dontari Poe (ankle) was also limited during the Chiefs Thursday session as he continues to battle back from an ankle injury that prevented him from playing last Sunday.
Practicing fully on Thursday were wide receiver Chris Conley (knee), linebacker Justin Houston (elbow), tight end Travis Kelce (facial laceration), linebacker Joshua Mauga (groin, achilles), kicker Cairo Santos (right foot) and quarterback Alex Smith (right thumb). Houston had been limited on Wednesday so he’s moving in the right direction heading into Friday.
The Chiefs also added safety Husain Abdullah (biceps) to their injury report on Thursday. He is listed as practicing fully, however.
