A Steelers Fan’s Rooting Guide To NFL Week 7

Is it too early to start scoreboard watching? Absolutely not.

While the Pittsburgh Steelers will be looking to move to 5-2 on the season with a Sunday afternoon win over the Kansas City Chiefs, it certainly won’t hurt to see several other Week 7 games go their way as well.

Here is your fan rooting interest guide for Week 7:

Buffalo Bills (3-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) 9:30 AM ET

Are you ready for some early football? This Sunday morning game features a banged-up Bills team that’s trying to stay relevant in the AFC Wild Card race. A loss in London to the Jaguars, while unlikely, would certainly help out the Steelers.

New York Jets (4-1) at New England Patriots (6-0) 1:00 PM ET

The Jets are currently the No. 5 seed in the AFC heading into Week 7 and that’s one spot ahead of the Steelers. The Patriots are bound to win the AFC East, so Steelers fans should probably start rooting for a few Jet losses moving forward.

Oakland Raiders (2-3) at San Diego Chargers (2-4) 4:05 PM ET

Thanks to their Week 5 Monday night win over the Chargers, the Steelers currently own a three game lead over San Diego heading into Week 7. However, being as the Raiders are sure to fade down the stretch, Steelers fans should probably root for the Silver and Black on Sunday in order so that the Chargers get one more nail in their Wild card coffin.

Cleveland Browns (2-4) at St. Louis Rams (2-3)1:00 PM ET

The Browns certainly won’t be winning the AFC North this season and the sooner their Wild Card hopes are crushed the better. It will be fun to see them struggle on Sunday against that menacing Rams defensive front.

Baltimore Ravens (1-5) at Arizona Cardinals (4-2) (MON) 8:30 PM ET

How great would it be to end Week 7 with the Ravens getting crushed on Monday night by the Cardinals?
