The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the San Francisco 49ers 43-18 Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field and it sounds like the team came out of the game relatively healthy.
“Just bumps and bruises along the way,” said head coach Mike Tomlin after the game. “Nothing substantial. We’ll have a better report on Tuesday.”
Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier did exit Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter with a right shoulder injury and he never returned. Judging by his actions on the Steelers sideline, Shazier suffered a stinger.
Before exiting the game, however, Shazier registered 15 total tackles with three of them resulting in a loss. He also recovered a fumble in addition to forcing another one that the 49ers ultimately recovered.
The Steelers will now play the St. Louis Rams next Sunday on the road. Tomlin will hold his next press conference on Tuesday ahead of that game.
