The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced they have signed rookie free agent wide receiver Tyler Murphy to the practice squad, releasing wide receiver Isaiah Burse in a corresponding move.
Murphy was released yesterday to make room for Le’Veon Bell. The rookie receiver out of Boston College played seven snaps in two games, all of them coming on the final drive against the New England Patriots.
Burse was signed to the practice squad before the regular season began. He spent last year with the Denver Broncos, serving as the team’s punt returner.
