Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Anthony Chickillo has apparently made the final 53 man roster.
While none of the final cuts have been made official by the team, Chickillo’s girlfriend, Alysha Newman, wrote on her Instagram account Friday afternoon that the Miami product has indeed made the roster.
Chickillo, who was drafted this year by the Steelers in the sixth-round, played 138 total snaps on defense during the team’s five preseason games in which he registered five total tackles.
Being as Chickillo has apparently made it, it looks like the team has possibly decided to keep 10 total linebackers on their initial 53 man roster this year. If that’s the case, it will be the first time that’s happened during the Kevin Colbert era.
The Steelers will make their final cuts official on Saturday and head coach Mike Tomlin is scheduled to address the media at noon.
