The Baltimore Ravens will be looking for their first win of the 2015 season Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers and their Wednesday injury report shows that they will be without the services of their starting tight end and starting left tackle for that game.
Not practicing on Wednesday and now officially ruled out for Thursday night are tackle Eugene Monroe (concussion), defensive end Chris Canty (calf), tight end Crockett Gillmore(calf) and wide receiver Breshad Perriman (knee).
Gillmore has caught 10 passes through the first three weeks of the season for 151 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll now be replaced in the starting lineup by rookie tight end Maxx Williams, the team’s second-round draft pick this year. That also means that fellow rookie tight end Nick Boyle will see extended playing time against the Steelers. Those two players have combined to catch just 7 passes so far this season.
Canty will miss his third straight game with an injured calf while Perriman, the Ravens first round draft pick this year, has still yet to make his NFL debut.
With Monroe out, James Hurst will start at left tackle Thursday night.
