Season 5, Episode 121 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and with Alex Kozora sitting in for David Todd again on this Friday, we open the show by recapping the Pittsburgh Steelers final week of OTA practices that concluded Thursday. We also look back at the entire OTA sessions and review the main themes that emerged over the course of the last three weeks.
After discussing a few comments that wide receivers coach Richard Mann made this past week about wide receiver Martavis Bryant, Alex and I focus in on a few of the backup tight ends on the roster and this includes us specifically talking about Rob Blanchflower and Cameron Clear. We also talk briefly about Will Johnson and the comments that coach James Daniels made about him this week.
In the second half of this episode, Alex and I have a lengthy talk with Zach Davis, who is now the new head football coach at Riverside High School in Belle, WV. Zach also writes for strongfootballcoach.com and we discuss the post that he made about one-gap 3-4 defenses. We also get Zach’s thoughts on a few comments made Thursday by new Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler as it relates to some changes he might have in store for the coming season. There’s a lot of X’s and O’s discussed and we hope you enjoy the interview.
