The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Kansas State center B.J. Finney Saturday evening after he went undrafted and the video below that was shot when he told his friends and family the news is quite touching.
Finney gets very emotional telling the gathering in Wellington, Kan., “I stand in front of you today as proof that dreams do come true. I’m under contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.”
After the announcement is made his friends and family break into screams of happiness.
Many considered Finney to be a late-round prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft after he started the last four seasons at Kansas State. He will have some competition from other undrafted free agents, however, as the Steelers also signed Auburn’s Reese Dismukes, the 2014 Rimington Award winner, and Indiana’s Collin Rahrig, who is also a center-guard type.
