Season 5, Episode 105 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and David Todd and I kick off this show by talking about what Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert and head coach Mike Tomlin both had to say Monday afternoon during their annual pre-draft press conference.
We go over what Colbert had to say about the depth of this year’s draft class as it relates to each position and how that just so happens to play into two big positional needs the team has this year.
Colbert and Tomlin both gave us several other talking points to discuss and that includes the health status of running back Le’Veon Bell in addition to how many players each of them talked to combined during the pre-draft process. We even discuss the Antonio Brown situation a little more now that he’s reported for offseason workouts.
After thoroughly dissecting what was said Monday, David and I move on to discuss my final Steelers mock draft that was released Monday morning. We go over it round by round and also discuss several other players that I almost included in a few rounds.
After we’re finished discussing my mock, we move on to talk about the media mock draft that Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com conducted a few days ago. That mock stopped after the Cincinnati Bengals 21st overall selection, so we look at who was left on the board for the Steelers to select with the very next pick.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
