The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed tight end Matt Spaeth to a two-year contract on Monday and the details of that deal have now be made available to the NFLPA.
Spaeth’s deal totals out at $2.2 million and that includes a $275,000 signing bonus. Spaeth’s base salary in 2015 is $925,000 and his 2016 base salary is scheduled to be $1 million.
Spaeth’s cap charges will be $1.062 million and $1.1375 million.
The Steelers can easily release Spaeth after the 2015 season and in doing so they would only incur a dead money charge in 2016 of $137,000.
