As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Minnesota Vikings in the 2015 Hall of Fame Game on August 9 at 8 p.m., it was announced Wednesday.
The game will be played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio and will be televised nationally on NBC’s Sunday Night Football and broadcast nationally on radio by Westwood One Sports.
The Steelers and Vikings each have ties to members of the 2015 Hall of Fame class as running back Jerome Bettis and center Mick Tingelhoff will both be inducted on August 8.
This will mark the sixth time the Steelers have played in the annual Hall of Fame Game and the first time since the beat the New Orleans Saints 20-7 in 2007.
The Steelers and Vikings will both be allowed to open training camp 15 days early than they normally would this year being as they will playing in the Hall of Fame game.
