Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel went back under the knife again Tuesday morning to have his shoulder cleaned up.
Keisel, who had his torn triceps repaired in early December, passed along the information on Twitter complete with a selfie.
The recently sheared veteran is still under contract with the Steelers in 2015 and while he is unsure if he will make it to the new league year with the team, he’s said recently that he’s currently training as if he’s going to play next season.
Should the Steelers release Keisel, they will clear $1.5 million in salary cap space but in reality that move will only save roughly one million after roster displacement.
Prior to getting injured last year Keisel recorded 17 total tackles, five defensed passes, one sack and one interception. He will turn 37 years of age just after the start of the 2015 season in September.
