Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Jason Worilds took a swing at Baltimore Ravens tight end Crockett Gillmore Saturday night in the AFC Wild Card loss at Heinz Field and the league has made him pay for it.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Worilds was fined $10,000 by the NFL for his actions in the game Saturday night. Worilds was penalized for unnecessary roughness on the play in question.
While Worilds was fined, Steelers safety Mike Mitchell wasn’t for his first quarter helmet-to-helmet hit on Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones. Like Worilds, Mitchell was flagged at the conclusion of that play.
Also not fined for actions in that game were wide receiver Antonio Brown for a facemask and safety Shamarko Thomas for a late hit out of bounds on a kickoff return.
