The 2015 Senior Bowl will take place Saturday afternoon in Mobile, AL and a few future Pittsburgh Steelers players will more than likely be playing in the game.
Last year three players who wound up being drafted by the Steelers played in the annual senior All-Star game and they were offensive lineman Wesley Johnson, linebacker Jordan Zumwalt and Daniel McCullers. Johnson and McCullers both made the final 53 man roster out of training camp while Zumwalt spent the season on injured reserve. Johnson unfortunately is no longer part of the organization, however.
Three members of the Steelers 2013 draft class played in the Senior Bowl as well. In fact, wide receiver Markus Wheaton and Vince Williams contributed quite a bit last season while quarterback Landry Jones held a clipboard every week.
The Steelers first four draft picks in 2009, defensive end Ziggy Hood, guard Kraig Urbik, wide receiver Mike Wallace and cornerback Keenan Lewis, all played in the Senior Bowl. All four of those players are now former Steelers.
Dating back to 2008, the Steelers have drafted at least two players every year except once that played in the Senior Bowl. How many will they draft this year?
