Steelers Open As 3-Point Home Favorites Over Ravens

The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Baltimore Ravens Saturday night at Heinz Field in one of two AFC Wild card games to played during the weekend and even though running back Le’Veon Bell is likely highly questionable to play in that game after suffering a hyperextended knee Sunday night in the win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the home team opened up as three point favorites.

The early weather forecast for Saturday night calls for a 70% chance of rain and 1-3 inches of snow in the evening with temperatures expected to be right at freezing. Winds could play a factor in the game as well, according to those same forecast.

The Ravens have never beaten the Steelers in the playoffs and quarterback Joe Flacco is 3-6 all-time at Heinz Field. The Ravens last win in Pittsburgh came back in Week 10 of the 2011 season when they beat the Steelers 13-10. Flacco didn’t throw a scoring pass in that game and the Ravens lone touchdown came courtesy of a 63 yard punt return by wide receiver Jacoby Jones. It should be noted that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger missed that game with an injury.

The over/under for the Saturday night game is 48 points and that’s actually pretty high for a Steelers-Ravens game as this rivalry generally results in a close, low scoring games.
