Based on the latest Pro Bowl voting results update that were released by the league Wednesday the Pittsburgh Steelers will more than likely have several players earning annual honors.
With one week of fan voting now remaining, Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown remain entrenched in the top-10 of overall vote-getters. Bell is currently in sixth place with 486,665 votes while Brown is in seventh place with 464,169 votes. Center Maurkice Pouncey is currently in second place at his position with 172,565 votes.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, linebacker Lawrence Timmons and safety Troy Polamalu need some votes in the final week if they’re going to be invited to the annual All-Star game, however. Roethlisberger is currently fourth at his position in fan voting while Timmons and Polamalu are currently both in fifth place at their respective positions.
Online voting will conclude on Monday, December 15 and the Pro Bowl players will be announced on Tuesday, December 23. Players will later be assigned to teams through the Pro Bowl Draft during the week leading up to the game, which will also air on NFL Network.
The 2015 Pro Bowl will be “unconferenced” for the second consecutive year and will be played on Sunday, January 25, 2015 and televised live on ESPN at 8:00 PM ET from University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona, site of Super Bowl XLIX.
