Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin gave the team Monday off following their 42-21 win Sunday over the Cincinnati Bengals, but it appears as though most of the players decided they would rather get some sort of work in instead.
According to Missi Matthews of steelers.com, roughly 50 players have been spotted at the team’s facility on Monday. While not a perfect turnout, it’s certainly a good sign as the team knows that they haven’t really accomplished anything just yet with three games remaining in the regular season.
Today is a "Victory Monday" for the @steelers. Despite being allowed to take the day off, roughly 50 players have been in the building today

The Steelers have followed up a win with another win only twice this season and that was when they won three straight games over the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens. They haven’t fared well the last several seasons against teams with losing records when they play them, so perhaps this is a sign that they aren’t going to take the Atlanta Falcons lightly next Sunday.
The game against the Falcons will be the Steelers final 2014 regular season road game. If they somehow manage to win their final three games, they’ll capture the AFC North title and at least one home playoff game in the process.
