Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe sat out again Friday with an illness and even though he’s missed the entire week of practice, head coach Andy Reid said during his talk with the media that he expects he’ll be ready to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“He’s taken in some fluids and trying to maintain keeping those fluids in,” Reid said of Bowe’s status. “So we’ll just see how he does. He is making improvement, but he did not practice today.”
Bowe, who is expected to be listed on the Friday injury report as questionable, enters Week 16 with 51 receptions. He has, however, yet to score a touchdown this season and the same goes for all of the Chiefs wide receivers.
In addition to Bowe not practicing Friday, Reid also said that outside linebacker Tamba Hali failed to practice again as well.
“Tamba (Hali) didn’t practice today. We rested him off the turf, but he’ll be ready to go,” Reid said.
Hali, who has battled a knee injury for several weeks now, has recorded 6 sacks so far this season.
