The Pittsburgh Steelers won their first of six championships in Super Bowl IX with a 16-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings in New Orleans and they will commemorate that event this coming Sunday at Heinz Field.
The Steelers will wear a patch on their jerseys Sunday in the game against the New Orleans Saints to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the game that was played in New Orleans, at Tulane Stadium.
The Steelers will enter the game with a 7-4 record that has them a half-game behind the Cincinnati Bengals for first place in the AFC North division.
The Saints will host the Baltimore Ravens Monday night and will have a short week to prepare for the Steelers, who had their bye this past week.
