Steelers Versus Jets Week 10 Projected Inactive List

The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the New York Jets Sunday at MetLife Stadium and below is a best guess as to what the inactive list will look like this week. The official list of inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

Ike Taylor – Taylor will miss his seventh straight game Sunday as he continues to recover from the broken forearm that suffered back in Week 3. Taylor is getting very close to returning and if not given the green light next week against the Tennessee Titans, he should be back after the bye week for the home game against the New Orleans Saints.

Ross Ventrone – Ventrone, who missed the game last Sunday night with a hamstring injury, was ruled out for the Jets game on the Friday injury report.

Shamarko Thomas – In his first game back last Sunday night, Thomas injured his other hamstring and it resulted in him being ruled out for the Jets game early in the week. One would think there’s a good chance that we won’t see Thomas on the field again until after the bye week. Sunday will mark his fourth missed game of the season.

Troy Polamalu – Polamalu suffered a sprained knee last Sunday night and was ruled out for the Jets game earlier in the week. It sounds like he could be sidelined multiple weeks with his injury.

Ryan Shazier – Shazier sprained an ankle last Sunday and will miss the Jets game as a result.

Landry Jones – Jones remains a permanent fixture on the Steelers inactive list and will not dress Sunday night.

Chris Hubbard  – Being as the Steelers chose not to promote safety Jordan Dangerfield from the practice squad on Saturday, you would think that wide receiver Justin Brown would get a helmet along with cornerback B.W. Webb as those two could potentially help on special teams. If Hubbard doesn’t dress, that will likely result in rookie nose tackle Daniel McCullers dressing for a third time this season.
