The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t waste any time in filling the open spot on their ten-man practice squad as defensive lineman Ethan Hemer has been signed to replace defensive end Josh Mauro, who was signed by the Arizona Cardinals Thursday.
Hemer was on the Steelers practice squad just a few weeks ago but needed to be released when the team needed to sign safety Jordan Dangerfield due to all of the injuries the team had at the safety position.
Hemer spent training camp and most of the preseason with the Steelers after being signed originally as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin. He registered four total tackles and one sack during the preseason.
With the departure of Josh Mauro to the Arizona Cardinals, the @steelers have signed DT Ethan Hemer to their practice squad.
