Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Vince Williams sure was excited when the defense stopped Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro from scoring a two-point conversion late in the game Sunday night, but that excitement wound up costing him money.
According to league reports, Williams was fined $8,268 by the NFL for taunting during the Ravens game. You can see Williams clearly taunt after the play in question is over in the animated gif below.
In addition to Williams being fined, we now know that several other Ravens players have been fined in addition to linebacker Terrell Suggs 9$8,268 ) and linebacker Albert McClellan ($8,268).
Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw was fined $20,000 for striking the neck area of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger Sunday night while Ravens center Jeremy Zuttah ($8,268 ) was fined for striking Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward with 3:02 left in the fourth quarter.
You’ll be happy to know that Steelers nose tackle Steve McLendon was not fined for roughing Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco with 7:13 left to go before halftime.
