After initially opening up as four point favorites over the Tennessee Titans, the Pittsburgh Steelers are currently favored by five and half points by several online betting sites.
The Steelers were road favorites last week against the New York Jets but wound up losing 20-17. That was their third loss of the season to a team with a losing record at the time they played them.
The Steelers offense never could obtain any level of consistency in the game against the Jets and four turnovers certainly didn’t help matters.
The Titans enter the Monday night game against the Steelers with a 2-7 record. They have lost their last three games and rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger is expected to make his third career start against the Steelers.
In their 21-7 loss this past Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens, Mettenberger was 16-of-27 passing for 179 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He was also sacked five times by the Ravens.
The Titans have won their last two games against the Steelers and in both of those games they were the underdogs.
The Steelers and Titans are scheduled to kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET Monday, Nov. 17.
