Its been a crazy few days for the Pittsburgh Steelers and it looks like safety Mike Mitchell has helped make it even crazier.
According to a Tuesday report by KDKA, Mitchell has been told by the Steelers to stay off of social media after telling a fan who was harassing him after Tuesday night’s win over the Tennessee Titans to “kill himself” via a direct message on Twitter.

This news comes on the same day that the Steelers decided to waive running back LeGarrette Blount after he decided to leave the field before the end of the game Monday night because he was unhappy about the amount of playing time he was receiving.
Mitchell, who was signed as a priority free agent at the beginning of the signing period, hasn’t played well this season and apparently several fans have gone after him on Twitter.
Mitchell has to use better judgment moving forward when it comes to using his social media account and I’m sure all Steelers players will be reminded about this during the bye week.
