Former Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw doesn’t believe that Justin Bieber jinxed the team by being present for their Saturday evening bible study session, but he made it clear to TMZ that he didn’t think it was a good idea to give the entertainer access to the team function nonetheless.
“Would Bieber be a disruption? Well, I wouldn’t have had him there,” said Bradshaw.
“The only time I recall the Steelers teams I played on letting outsiders worship with us was at the Super Bowl … and it was with our families because they traveled with us.”
Several Steelers players seemed to like having Bieber present for the road bible study session as at least a half a dozen of them posted pictures they had taken with him on their social media accounts.
Curse or no curse, the Steelers proceeded to lose to a 1-8 New York Jets team on Sunday and Bieber being present for the team function the night before certainly has received even more attention thanks to that.
Do you think the late Chuck Noll would’ve allowed Leif Garrett to attend a bible study the night before a game in the late 70’s? Yeah, me neither.
Maybe the Steelers can get Snoop Dogg lined up for this coming week. Oh, wait, maybe that’s not such a good idea, either.
ETA: In case you’re curious, here is more about why Bieber was present for the function.
