I’ve already posted the passing charts for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger from the last three games and now have found enough time to chart the Week 7 game against the Houston Texans for you as well.
If you have seen the other charts, you will notice once again in this one that Roethlisberger absolutely stayed away from the middle of the field. He only threw one pass against the Texans between the hashmarks and that ball was tipped and fell incomplete. Against the Texans, Roethlisberger threw eight passes 20 or more yards past the line of scrimmage and he completed just two of them. One was the touchdown pass to Martavis Bryant, while the other was that great catch that wide receiver Antonio Brown made down the left side.
17 of Roethlisberger’s completions against the Texans were balls that traveled five or less yards past the line of scrimmage and four of those were completed behind the line.
