The 3-3 Pittsburgh Steelers next three games will be at home with the first of the three taking place next Monday night against the Houston Texans, who lost 33-28 Thursday night at home to the Indianapolis Colts. Currently, several online betting sites have the Steelers favored by four points in that game.
Much like the Cleveland Browns, the Texans also like to run the outside zone with their star running back Arian Foster, who already has 513 yards rushing and five touchdowns on 106 carries. To add some depth to that stat, Foster missed the Week 3 game against the New York Giants and additionally only had eight carries in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills.
The Texans will most likely have quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick under center once again and so far this season he has completed 68.6% of his passes off of play action. Being as Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer had good success Sunday off of play action against the Steelers, the Texans would be foolish not to follow a similar game plan Monday night.
While the 2014 season is not quite yet to the midway point, the game Monday night game against the Texans is really one that the Steelers must win for the shear fact that the Texans could be a team that their battling for a final Wild Card spot should they miraculously find a way to win at least nine games this year.
The Steelers have yet to lose back-to-back games dating back to Week 14 last season.
