The Cincinnati Bengals might get wide receiver A.J. Green back this week, but they will definitely be without one of their top defensive players Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told the media Wednesday that the middle linebacker Vontaze Burfict will likely miss at least the next two games after having his knee scoped earlier in the day.

Burfict’s injury was initially thought to be a bruise, but wound up being worse than that and needing repair.
Burfict, who has registered just 29 total tackles so far this season, has already dealt with injuries to his neck and head so far this season. He is the leader of the Bengals defense and will be tough to replace.
After playing the Jaguars this coming Sunday, the Bengals will host the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.
The Bengals currently lead the AFC North with a 4-2-1 record. The Pittsburgh Steelers still have to play the Bengals twice this season with the first meeting between the two teams coming in Week 14.
