Running back LeGarrette Blount wasn’t the only Pittsburgh Steelers player to be fined this week by the league as linebacker Jason Worilds was also docked for his hit below knee on Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game.
Jason Worilds fined $16,537 for hit below knee of QB last Sunday. LeGarrette Blount fined $5,512 for throwing ball into stands after TD.

According to Scott Brown of ESPN.com, Worilds has been fined $16,537.
On the play in question, Worilds looped around the right side on a stunt with 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter and upended Newton with a hit around his knees after it looked like he lost his footing.
Newton luckily escaped serious injury on the play and Worilds made it a point to apologize after the play. Worilds was flagged for roughing the passer nonetheless.
Worilds was fined $15,750 last year for roughing New York Giants quarterback David Carr during the first preseason game of the season.
