The Carolina Panthers have now released their final injury report for the upcoming Sunday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the lengthy list includes several players that are listed as either questionable or doubtful.
Panthers running back Fozzy Whittaker (thigh) is the only player listed as doubtful and it will be surprising if he dresses Sunday night against the Steelers after failing to practice all week.
Wide receiver Jason Avant (thigh) and running back DeAngelo Williams (thigh) were both limited on Friday and they end the week listed as questionable. It sounds like both will suit up Sunday night baring any setbacks, however.
“Both Jason and DeAngelo took reps with the team and actually looked pretty good,” Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said Friday afternoon. “Hopefully, there is no overwhelming soreness and they’ll be good to go for Sunday.”
Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery failed to practice Friday and was limited to running in a pool because of soreness. He ends the week listed as questionable.
Tackle Byron Bell (toe), wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin (knee), wide receiver Corey Brown (ankle), tackle Nate Chandler (toe), linebacker Thomas Davis (hip), defensive tackle Dwan Edwards (back), running back Mike Tolbert (chest), tackle Garry Williams (thigh) and tight end Greg Olsen (calf) all practiced fully Friday and are all listed as probable.
The Panthers added defensive tackle Colin Cole (not injury related) to their injury report on Friday as probable after he failed to practice.
