Since the end of March, the Pittsburgh Steelers have hosted several players for pre draft visits, but those visits will come to an end at the end of this week.
According to Steelers PR man Burt Lauten, Sunday marks the final day that any of the 32 teams are permitted to host draft hopefuls for visits.
Each team is allowed 30 non-local visitors and by our count, the Steelers are close to reaching that number. There are, however, still a handful of players that have said in interviews that they have visits scheduled that have yet to be reported as actually visiting, but that’s not unusual for this time of year. Some of those players could still be coming in this week or perhaps the visits already happened but just not reported.
On Tuesday, the Steelers hosted Duke cornerback Ross Cockrell and at some point this week we expect Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller to be in town in along with BoiseState defensive end Demarcus Lawrence.
Sunday marks the final day the @steelers (& all 31 other clubs) are permitted to host their allotment of 30 potential NFL Draft prospects.
